The Man Behind the Lens

Kevin N. Brown
1974 – 2022

Photography became Kevin's passion during his deployments in the Middle East while proudly serving in the U.S. Army from 1997 to 2000. In the quiet between extraordinary moments, he found his calling — and he never let it go.

A devoted husband to Lisa, a proud father to Juliann and Joseph, a Personal Trainer, and a man loved by countless friends — Kevin poured that same warmth and dedication into every wedding he photographed. Going into his tenth season, this craft was one of his greatest joys.

This site is finished in his honor. His eye, his heart, his legacy — preserved here for those who loved him, and for every couple whose story deserves to be told beautifully.

Kevin N. Brown

Husband · Father · Veteran · Photographer

Kevin N. Brown, age 47, of Carpentersville, formerly of Pingree Grove, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born in Chicago on September 3, 1974.

Kevin was a many-year resident of the Skokie area and a 1992 graduate of Niles North High School. He was a very proud United States Army Veteran, having served from 1997 to 2000. He was a Personal Trainer by profession — and a photographer by passion.

"This is something that has been a passion of mine and that I enjoy doing very much. I'm going into my tenth season doing this and I absolutely love it."

— Kevin Brown, in his own words

Photography became Kevin's calling during his deployments in the Middle East while serving in the U.S. Army. What he found in those quiet moments between extraordinary circumstances — a belief that every moment deserves to last forever — became the foundation of Kb.Event.Photography & Video.

This website was a project Kevin never got to see completed. It is finished now, with love, as a tribute to everything he built and everyone he touched. His work lives on in the photographs he gave to so many couples and families — moments he made permanent.

"We look forward to booking future events with you!"

— Sincerely, Kevin Brown

He is survived by those who loved him deeply —

His wife, Lisa M. (née Mazur)  ·  his daughter, Juliann (fiancé Ian McClellan)  ·  his son, Joseph

His father, Roger Brown  ·  his mother, Sandra (Dave) Hultgren  ·  his brother, Tony (Dorothy) Hernandez

As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
